Common academic calculators
These calculators use arithmetic that is identical across Indian universities: attendance as a share of conducted lectures, marks as a share of maximum marks, and credit weighted grade point averages. Where a percentage conversion is needed, you pick the university formula you want applied.
Key rules to remember
- Attendance percentage is attended lectures divided by conducted lectures, with 75 percent as the usual eligibility bar set by affiliating universities.
- A credit weighted GPA is the sum of credit multiplied by grade point divided by the total credits registered.
- Percentage conversions are reversible, so a percentage can be mapped back to the SGPA or CGPA that produced it.
