Grade Card & Percentage Calculator
Result
Credit weighted percentage across all completed courses.
About this tool
This calculator reads the assignment and term-end marks from your IGNOU grade card, applies the credit weightage of every course and returns the overall percentage along with the division you fall into. It handles programmes where assignments carry thirty percent weightage as well as courses with practical components.
How it works
Using the Grade Card & Percentage Calculator in three steps
Every step below reflects the actual calculation this tool runs, so you can check the result by hand if you need to.
- 1
Copy each course code, its credit value and the marks printed on your IGNOU grade card into the course rows.
- 2
The tool multiplies every course total by its credits, adds them up and divides by the maximum credit weighted marks.
- 3
You get the credit weighted percentage plus the IGNOU division band it falls into, with pending courses ignored.

Frequently asked questions
Does IGNOU print the percentage on the grade card?
No. The grade card lists course wise marks and credits only. The overall percentage has to be derived using credit weightage, which is exactly what this tool does.
Are assignment marks included in the percentage?
Yes. For most programmes the assignment contributes thirty percent and the term-end examination contributes seventy percent of the course total.
What if a course is still pending?
Pending or not completed courses are left out, so the result shows your percentage for the courses declared so far.
Which courses should I leave out?
Leave out any course showing a blank, incomplete or not completed status. Only declared results carry credits into the percentage.
