Assignment Status Tracker

Track submitted, evaluated and pending assignments across every course in your programme.

Assignment Status Tracker

Assignment entries

Log every assignment with its session and current status. Add evaluated marks when your regional centre updates them.

Logged assignments

Each row holds a course code, session, submission status and evaluated marks.

Marks can only be entered once an assignment is marked as evaluated.

Status summary

Live status summary across the courses you have logged.

Add at least one course code to see the summary.

About this tool

Keep a single view of the assignments you have submitted, the ones already evaluated by your regional centre and the ones still pending before the cut off date. The tracker groups entries by session so you can see at a glance what is blocking your term-end eligibility.

How it works

Using the Assignment Status Tracker in three steps

Every step below reflects the actual calculation this tool runs, so you can check the result by hand if you need to.

  1. 1

Add one row per course with its assignment session, submission date and current status.

  2. 2

Each row is checked against the session cut off and the forty percent assignment pass mark.

  3. 3

The summary counts submitted, evaluated and pending items so you know what still blocks term-end eligibility.

Assignment eligibility rule

Term-end eligibility = Assignment submitted before session cut off date
  • Assignment marks are usually valid for the session in which they were submitted.
  • A minimum of forty percent in the assignment is required to pass that component in most programmes.
  • Status updates on the IGNOU portal can take several weeks after submission.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an assignment take to appear as evaluated?

Regional centres usually update assignment marks within four to eight weeks of submission, though it varies by centre and session load.

Can I track assignments for more than one programme?

Yes. Entries are grouped by programme and session so multiple enrolments stay separated.

What counts as a pending assignment?

Anything you have not submitted, or submitted but not yet marked by the regional centre, is treated as pending because it is not yet safe for term-end eligibility.

Does a low assignment score need a resubmission?

If the score is below forty percent for that course you must attempt the assignment again in a later session, since assignment and term-end are separate heads of passing.
